Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our patient care team. The CNA will assist with direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and support clerical tasks to help maintain unit efficiency.

Qualified candidates hold a VA CNA license, BLS CPR, and have at least one year of acute care experience or six months with RN clinical experience. This position may require flexibility for shifts and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA is required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• At least one year of acute care experience required; or six months if currently enrolled in a full time RN program and have completed at least one clinical semester.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assists with ROM, ambulation, positioning, hygiene, and feeding.
• Collects specimens and records vital signs and I&O; documents patient data.
• Performs routine procedures and supports the patient care team as needed.
