Maine Veterans' Homes in Augusta, ME is seeking a compassionate CNA for day shift 7:00 AM–3:00 PM to provide hands-on care in a designated neighborhood. Qualifications

• Active certification on the Maine CNA Registry in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Help residents transfer, reposition, and ambulate safely.

• Encourage independence and participation in daily routines.
• Document care and observations in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards.

Your Role

As a first shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you'll provide hands‑on care to residents in a designated neighborhood, which may include long‑term care, skilled nursing, or memory care. You'll work alongside nurses and other members of the care team to ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and person‑centered care.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) You'll help with:

• Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• Helping residents safely transfer, reposition, and ambulate
• Monitoring residents and reporting changes in condition to the nursing team
• Encouraging resident independence and participation in daily routines
• Documenting care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
• Following infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards
• Developing positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers
