Job summary

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Good Samaritan Hays. You will provide resident-centered nursing care, assist with daily living activities, and support the care team under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The position requires a CNA certification or enrollment in a training program, with continuing education credits and possible driver responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing or in process within 4 months.
• Annual continuing education equivalent of 12 hours.
• UAP Registry registration if applicable.
• Sanford policy requires valid driver's license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes; report to RN.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed.
• Support infection control practices and use PPE as required.
