Job summary

Good Samaritan Pine River, part of Sanford Health, is hiring a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will support daily living activities, monitor vital signs and collaborate with the nursing team under RN supervision.

The role stresses infection prevention, PPE use, and documentation of resident care; CNA certification is required or you may be enrolled in a training program with facility support. Shift starts 6:00am. Training for CNA is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 to join the nursing team.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• State CNA certification or enrollment in training program within four months.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Deliver basic health care needs including bathing, grooming and recording vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, range of motion and mobility activities.
• Support meals, hydration and wellness activities, and document care outcomes.
• Follow infection prevention policies and PPE usage; report changing conditions to charge nurse.
