The role emphasizes hands-on daily living assistance, vital signs, documentation, and teamwork. CNA certification in Nebraska and CPR/BSLS are required, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Nebraska is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support/CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience caring for aging adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests and residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting and activities of daily living.
• Encourage independence and assist residents to do as much as safely possible.
• Respond to call lights and resident needs promptly and compassionately.
• Help with transfers, positioning, ambulation, and wheelchair transportation per care plans.
• Obtain and record vital signs as directed.
• Observe changes and communicate concerns to the nurse.
• Assist with snacks, hydration and dining needs as appropriate.
• Maintain clean, comfortable resident-care areas and follow safety procedures.
