Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan provides resident-centered care in long-term care, under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and basic health tasks while following care plans and infection control policies.

Flexibility is required to cover day, evening, night, and weekend shifts; a sign-on bonus is offered and a comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in the process of obtaining certification (Endorsement or approved training) within four months.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education required.
• May be listed as Sanford Category II Driver with driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, range of motion, vital signs, and health needs as per care plan.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support meals, dining, and recreation activities; assist with housekeeping and laundry as needed.
