Job summary

Park Avenue Healthcare & Wellness Centre seeks a capable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine nursing care under supervision. The role emphasizes patient safety, accuracy in identification, and compassionate support for residents.

The ideal candidate will have CNA certification or current enrollment, plus basic English proficiency and a genuine desire to help the elderly and ill in a team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• Minimum of 6 months of CNA experience or clinical exposure during training.
• Desire to care for ill, elderly and infirm.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Able to interact tactfully with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine nursing care following policies and procedures.
• Make rounds at start of shift and periodically to provide care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Help residents with personal care and mobility.
• Report concerns to the Charge Nurse immediately.
• Attend in-service programs and other duties as directed.
