Job summary

Christian Park Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct resident care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and support licensed staff while maintaining dignity and safety for residents.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (STNA) in good standing or graduate of state-approved program.
• Computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per facility procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precaution guidelines at all times.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive living environment.
• Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Provide postmortem care (as applicable).
• Make routine rounds on each assigned resident every two hours.
• Provide skin care and observe for changes; report to licensed nurse.
• Assist with dementia-related care and behaviors as part of a holistic plan.
• Cares for residents with Dementia with patient-centered approaches.
