Job summary

Prairie Heights is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care per resident care plans. You will identify residents, assist with daily activities, and maintain a warm, safe environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, reporting condition changes, and assisting with transfers and mobility. CPR certification is preferred and the role requires adherence to privacy and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CNA license as per state requirements.
• CPR certification preferred but not always required.
• Able to read, analyze, and follow care plans and policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents with wristband/photo ID before treatments or meals.
• Report changes in resident condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Record entries on flow sheets and charts clearly and accurately.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and report any suspected information disclosures.
• Assist residents with daily functions including grooming, meals, and mobility.
• Assist with lifting, turning, positioning, and transporting residents.
• Observe for pressure areas or skin breakdowns and report findings.
• Report injuries or unknown sources of injuries to supervisors.
• Follow policies on exposure to blood and body fluids and infection control.
• Prepare residents for medical tests and examinations as directed.
