Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.

• Prior experience as LTC nursing assistant preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation Program.
• Good standing in the state registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under supervision of licensed nurses.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming of residents.
• Take and record vital signs as directed.
• Explain procedures to residents and assist with activities of daily living.
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control in resident areas.
• Document care accurately and report changes to nurse managers.
