Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid Alabama CNA certification or obtain within 120 days of hire.
• Experience as a CNA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Maintain clean and orderly resident rooms and care areas.
• Orient new residents to the facility.
• Document care as directed.
• Report changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
• Monitor residents to ensure personal care needs are met.
• Assist with transport to dining, therapy, and activities.
• Record and report vital signs and any changes.
• Encourage participation in activities and assist as needed.
• Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed.
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and transfers.
• Assist with meals and feeding as necessary.
• Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
