Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measure and document vitals and inputs/outputs; record in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding and communicate observations to the RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes and prepare patient areas.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Run errands, stock nursing areas and clean equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, and diet-related tasks as directed.
• Maintain skin integrity and ensure patient supplies and devices are available.
• May assist with IV removal, post-mortem care, and bladder scans as required.
