Good Samaritan in West Union, IA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in long-term care settings under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help with mobility and comfort, while documenting care and communicating changes to the nursing team.

Expect CNA certification and 18+ age, with adherence to infection prevention policies and PPE usage.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 18.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing, or state-certified CNA within four months of hire.
• UAP Registry certification where applicable in some states.
• Annual competency testing with minimum 12 hours CE required.

Aufgaben

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs.
• Assist residents with transfers, repositioning and walking; perform ROM and passive exercises.
• Assist with meals and dining; provide water and supplements as appropriate.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Collect non-invasive specimens and support infection prevention and PPE use.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services as needed; support recreational programs.

Ausbildung

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

CNA certification within four months of date into the position
