Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting at Miller, SD. This PRN role requires delivering daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse and following care plans to meet physical and psychosocial needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, mobility, vital signs, documentation, and support for dining. Candidates should have a CNA certification and meet age requirements, with ongoing competency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits (12 hours annually).

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, eating, and basic health care needs including vital signs.
• Assist with transfers and mobility using proper techniques and equipment; support range of motion and passive exercises.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and documenting resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Support housekeeping, laundry, and involvement in wellness and recreational programs as needed.
