Job summary

Gail’s Homecare in Lithonia, GA seeks a compassionate personal care assistant (PCA) to support clients in their homes with basic personal care and domestic tasks. You will document clients' progress and help ensure their overall wellbeing.

Responsibilities include compassionate caregiving, mobility assistance where needed, and adhering to care plans. Required CPR/BLS, First Aid, CNA license, and a valid driver’s license, with strong English communication and a caring demeanor.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS and First Aid certification required.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year healthcare experience, 3-5 years preferred.
• Home health care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and conversational skills.
• 8 hours of personal care training annually.
• Participation in meetings and training sessions as directed.
• Ability to perform under supervision and provide quality client care.
• Housekeeping or domestic work experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift, transfer and assist with mobility.
• Patient, calm, and professional under stress.
• Willingness to perform personal care and household tasks.
• Dependable, punctual, and reliable.
• Warm, compassionate personality.

• Comply with agency policies and healthcare regulations.
