Job summary

Adventist HealthCare Home Assistance seeks a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant for our Home Care Division. You will support the care manager, deliver personal care, and help manage patient needs in a home health setting.

The role requires Maryland CNA certification, BLS and CPR through the American Heart Association, and 2–3 years of CNA experience. A driver's license may be required for visits. This full-time position includes benefits and schedule stability.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Active American Heart Association CPR certification required
• 2-3 years of CNA experience strongly preferred
• Nursing home or acute care setting strongly preferred
• Score of 80% or more on the CNA Skills Assessment Test and ability to pass skills lab testing
• Current driver's license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist care manager with rising patient care needs
• Provide excellent personal care to patients to maximize satisfaction according to Aide Plan of Care
• Maintain a safe environment while addressing safety and risk management issues
• Ensure continuity of care across shifts and participate in discharge planning
• Collaborate with the medical team and support staff to deliver quality care
• Complete patient care duties as assigned
• Document information on patient records, hospital forms and logs
• Provide necessary instruction to patient
• Maintain licensure and certifications
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to care for patients of the assigned unit/department
• Participate in supply management and equipment maintenance
• Consult with professional staff on patient problems and contribute to goals aligned with mission
• Participate in orientation and evaluation of Patient Care Technicians
