Job summary

Spring River Rehabilitation & Care Center in Roswell, NM is seeking compassionate CNAs to join our skilled nursing team. As a CNA, you will provide direct, hands-on care to residents, assisting with ADLs, mobility, personal hygiene, nutrition, and other individualized needs under the supervision of licensed staff.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification/status in NM.
• Must remain eligible and in good standing for employment.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, assisted living, or healthcare preferred; new CNAs encouraged.
• Compassionate and respectful approach to caring for older adults with varying needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans and safety procedures.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Dependable attendance and reliable scheduling.
• Ability to prioritize resident needs and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating.
• Safely assist residents with transfers, ambulation, mobility, and repositioning per care plans.
• Utilize lifts, gait belts, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment according to procedures.
• Record vital signs and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Observe changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the supervising nurse.
• Respond to resident call lights and requests promptly and professionally.
• Provide toileting and incontinence care with privacy and dignity.
• Assist with meals and hydration according to care plans.
• Document care accurately in facility records.
• Follow infection prevention practices and PPE use.
• Follow safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, nurses, and care team.
