Qualifications

• Holds a current Nursing Assistant Certification from the State of Texas.
• Can accurately record information and perform technical procedures.
• Communicates well and demonstrates self-discipline and patience.
• Genuinely cares for the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
• Understands and upholds the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including grooming, bathing, catheter care, peri-care, and dressing.
• Maintain resident environment by changing linens and stocking grooming supplies.
• Support mobility by safely ambulating and transferring residents using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
• Record vital information by accurately documenting vitals, weights, intake/output, and meal consumption.
• Assist with positioning by turning and repositioning residents routinely for comfort and safety.
• Encourage engagement by leading range of motion exercises and providing reality orientation as directed.
