Job summary

Hunter Creek Health & Rehabilitation is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our nursing team in Northport, AL. This full-time role provides hands-on resident care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation community, working closely with nurses to maintain safety, dignity and comfort.

Base pay ranges from $14.00 to $17.30 per hour (based on experience) with shift differentials available.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama CNA certification in good standing.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or healthcare preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a nursing team.
• Commitment to providing exceptional care with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care and daily support to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team.
• Assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Answer resident call lights and respond promptly to needs.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily routines.
• Maintain resident comfort, dignity, privacy, and independence.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and fellow caregivers.
• Maintain accurate documentation as required.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and resident care procedures.
• Help create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents.
