Job summary

Altera Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fairhope, Alabama is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team for full-time or PRN night shifts in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting.

As a CNA, you will work closely with our nursing staff to assist residents with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and ensure comfort and well-being. Alabama certification and a positive, team-oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama CNA certification.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers and exercise programs.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight and other health indicators.
• Observe residents' condition and report concerns to supervisors.
• Support residents' nutritional needs with meals, hydration and feeding as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment including bed making and linen changes.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers to ensure resident comfort.
• Document care accurately in medical records and charts.
• Communicate effectively with residents, facilities and team members.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and urgent needs.
