Job summary

Timberland Health and Rehabilitation Center – Butler, AL is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team in a full-time or PRN capacity. You will work closely with our nursing staff to provide excellent resident care, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vitals, and ensuring comfort and well-being.

The role requires active Alabama CNA certification and experience in long-term care or rehab is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active CNA Certification in Alabama.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional care to residents, including assisting with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and exercise programs.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, and other health indicators.
• Observe residents' physical and emotional condition and report any concerns to supervisors.
• Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meals, hydration and feeding as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, including making beds and changing linens.
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges and transfers while ensuring comfort.
• Document care provided accurately in medical records and charts.
• Communicate effectively with residents, facilities and other team members.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and urgent needs.
