Job summary

Morningside Ministries in San Antonio, TX is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time days and nights on-site. Join a compassionate team, focusing on resident comfort and quality of life, with core anchors of people first and respectful communication.

You will assist licensed staff with ADLs, take vital signs, support meal services, document care, and contribute to individualized care plans. Prior CNA experience is preferred; Texas certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Texas Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Prior experience in nursing/long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of bedside care procedures and resident safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on nursing care to residents and assists licensed staff.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, grooming and oral care.
• Collects vital signs, weight and height accurately.
• Transports residents to/from activities, meals, and living areas per Care Plans.
• Contributes to development and follow-through of individualized Care Plans.
• Supports meal service and nourishment administration.
• Reports changes in condition or eating habits to supervisor.
• Uses Point of Care documentation for ADLs and condition changes.
