Job summary

WesleyLife in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a CNA/CMA to assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health, and support a compassionate, engaging environment. The role includes 2nd shift hours (2:00 pm–10:30 pm) on a full-time basis, with opportunities for CMA consideration.

Starting pay is based on experience with a shift differential of up to $4.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must have CNA license in Iowa; CMA preferred but not required.
• Prior LTC experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Monitor health (vital signs) and administer medications.
• Facilitate participation in recreational/therapeutic activities.
• Maintain infection control and a safe environment.
• Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
• 2nd shift, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm, full-time.

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and passing medications.
• Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Conduct routine health monitoring, such as checking vital signs and administering medications.
• Facilitate resident participation in recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
• 2nd shift (2:00p-10:30p) FT

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older (This is a requirement)
• An active CNA license in the state of Iowa, CMA preferred but not required
• Prior experience in LTC preferred but not required
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
