Job Summary
The Wellness Associate reports to the Wellness Director and Wellness Manager, providing services and care to residents based on their individual Resident Service Plans.
Essential Functions
- Assist Residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility if needed.
- Monitor residents' physical and mental health, reporting changes promptly to the Wellness Director.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering as necessary.
- Help find shift coverage during unexpected call-outs.
- Develop and maintain assignments for the Wellness Director.
- Assist in orienting and onboarding new Wellness Associates.
- Respond to emergencies, provide first-aid, and coordinate medical follow-up.
- Keep residents' units clean, neat, and orderly.
- Attend to resident needs promptly and answer assistance calls.
- Assist residents with clothing, laundry, meal selection, and feeding as instructed.
- Support activity programs as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records and files as per policy.
- Participate in at least 6 hours of in-service education annually.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Compliance and Safety
- Follow emergency procedures and safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with the Wellness Director and staff.
- Immediately report any changes in residents' health to the Wellness Director or Manager.
Education, Experience, Licensure, and Certification
- Current State Nurse’s Aide registration.
- Experience and passion for working with seniors.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, peers, and staff.
- Good physical and emotional health, free of communicable diseases.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
