Job summary
Adoration Hospice, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a compassionate CNA to provide 1:1 care, dignity, and comfort to patients in Indiana, PA and surrounding counties. Schedule: M-F 8a-5p with PRN opportunities, covering Punxsutawney area as needed.
You will join a supportive team focused on compassionate end-of-life care, assisting patients and families during a critical time with safety, empathy, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Must meet state training requirements.
- Minimum six months of experience including personal care.
- Must be 18+ years old.
- Complete at least 75 hours of classroom and supervised training (16 hours prior to 16 hours practical).
- Possess and maintain CPR certification.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
- Understand hospice philosophy and care for terminally ill patients.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Ability to handle death/dying.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
- Monitor & Report: Observe and report changes in the patient's condition.
- Mobility: Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and safe equipment use.
- Medication Assistance: Help with self-administered medications per state regulations.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and comfort to patients and families.
- Light Housekeeping: Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Team Participation: Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.

As a Hospice CNA You will:
- Personal Care: Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning

- Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Complete a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, 16 of the 75 hours of classroom must be complete prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
- Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill
- Ability to work with little direct supervision
- Ability to handle death/dying
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good Organizational Skills
