Job summary

Adoration Health, part of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA to join our Camp Hill, PA team. You will provide dignity, comfort, and essential care to patients in their homes, guided by a supportive interdisciplinary team, with attention to infection control and patient comfort.

We offer a stable full-time schedule and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO). Must meet state CNA requirements, have at least 6 months of personal care experience, be 18+, CPR

Qualifications

• Meets the training requirements of the State.
• Minimum of 75 hours classroom + supervised practical training; 16 hours classroom before 16 hours practical training.
• Minimum six months experience providing personal care.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Comfort with hospice philosophy and caring for the terminally ill.
• Satisfactory references from previous employers.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• CPR certification current.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and repositioning.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM and safe equipment use.
• Assist with medication administration per state regulations.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Light housekeeping and meal assistance.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.

As a Hospice CNA You will:

• Personal Care: Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning

• Medication Assistance: Help with self-administered medications per state regulations

• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Team Participation: Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Meets the training requirements of the State

• Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training 16 hours of classroom must be completed prior to a mandatory 16 hours of practical training

• Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care

• At least 18 years of age

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given

• Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing care to the terminally ill

• Satisfactory references from previous employers

• Ability to work with little direct supervision

• Secure with issues of death/dying

• Provides a calm manner when in a patient’s home

• Possess and maintains current CPR certification

• Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene

• Successfully completes a probationary period

• This probationary period is to ensure the aide is competent in the above qualifications and is documented by the supervisor and the employee

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Good organizational skills
