Job summary

Adoration Health, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is seeking a compassionate Hospice CNA to join our Camp Hill, PA team. You will provide one-to-one patient care focused on dignity, comfort, and support during a challenging time for patients and families.

This full-time role offers a supportive environment with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, opportunities for growth, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary hospice team.

Qualifications

• Meets the training requirements of the State.
• Completed a minimum of 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training; 16 hours classroom before 16 hours practical training.
• Minimum of six months experience providing personal care.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
• Understands hospice philosophy and comfortable caring for the terminally ill.
• Satisfactory references from previous employers.
• Ability to work with little direct supervision.
• Calm demeanor when in a patient's home.
• CPR certification current.
• Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
• Willing to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: Help with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and repositioning.
• Monitor & Report: Observe and report changes in the patient's condition.
• Mobility: Assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM exercises and safe equipment use.
• Medication Assistance: Help with self-administered medications per state regulations.
• Emotional Support: Offer companionship and comfort to patients and families.
• Light Housekeeping: Change linens, assist with meals, and maintain a clean space.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Team Participation: Collaborate with hospice interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience including providing personal care
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given
• Understands hospice philosophy, comfortable providing care to the terminally ill
• Satisfactory references from previous employers
• Ability to work with little direct supervision
• Secure with issues of death/dying
• Provides a calm manner when in a patient's home
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification
• Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene
• Successfully completes a probationary period
• This probationary period is to ensure the aide is competent in the above qualifications and is documented by the supervisor and the employee
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
