Job summary

Pivotal Health Care's Cedar Ridge Village, located in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a nursing home setting and support their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. We offer 4- and 8-hour shifts with full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions.

Qualifications

• The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) must have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations in clinical skills and written knowledge in accordance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follows and upholds The Community’s philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of life.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living as outlined in care plan.
• Completes documentation of resident care as assigned.
• Follows safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety.
• Follows and upholds policies and procedures of The Community.
• Follows rules outlined in the Community’s employee handbook.
• Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned.
• Follows infection control guidelines.
• Reports changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse
• Observes residents’ rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
• Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
