Job summary

Allpro Homecare in Westerly, RI is seeking an experienced CNA to join our team and provide quality non-medical homecare to our veteran population. The role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, support staff, and online training.

You will assist clients with daily living activities, meals, and household tasks, while ensuring safety and dignity. The position requires RI CNA licensure, a year of caregiving experience, and willingness to work varied shifts including nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Current state license in good standing as an CNA.
• 1 year caregiver experience in hospital, nursing home, other facility or homecare agency setting.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass Rhode Island's National background check.
• State-required Flu Shot (annually thereafter).
• State-required Hepatitis B Shot.
• State-required Immunization Record (Flu, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, COVID).
• State-required Birth Certification upload.
• Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation.
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Adequate physical endurance.

Responsibilities

• Assists client with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, or toilet.
• Assists client with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair.
• Performs housekeeping duties.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals, with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Report any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan.
