Job summary

Allpro Homecare in Rhode Island is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our homecare team serving veterans. Flexible scheduling and weekly pay are offered, with supportive staff and online training available to help you provide quality non-medical care in clients' homes.

The role requires a current Rhode Island CNA license, ability to work various shifts (including nights/weekends), and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Current state license in good standing as a CNA
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Must be able to pass Rhode Island background check
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Hoyer Lift experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist client with bathing, dressing, grooming
• Assist with toileting, transfers, and ambulation
• Perform housekeeping duties and meal preparation with client assistance
• Report unusual events to administrator and respond to emergencies

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists client with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, or toilet
• Assists client with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair
• Performs housekeeping duties
• Plan, prepare and serve meals, with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Report any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a Rhode Island's National background check
• State-required Flu Shot (annually thereafter)
• State-required Hepatitis B Shot
• State-required Immunization Record (Flu, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, COVID)
• State-required Birth Certification upload
• Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Adequate physical endurance
