Job summary

Cedar Ridge Village in West Des Moines, IA, seeks a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The CNA provides direct, hands-on care to residents to support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being in a nursing home setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Ability to provide direct, hands-on care to residents.

Responsibilities

• Uphold the community’s philosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident’s quality of care and quality of life.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as outlined in the care plan.
• Complete documentation of resident care as assigned.
• Follow safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety.
• Follow policies and procedures of The Community.
• Follow rules outlined in the employee handbook.
• Attend and participate in facility meetings and in-service training programs.
• Follow infection control guidelines.
• Report changes in resident’s condition immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Observe residents’ rights including privacy and dignity.
• Promote positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.

Shifts:

In general we offer 4 and 8 hour shifts for our CNA positions. We have openings for full-time (30+ hours weekly) and part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) positions.

• Days: 6am-2:30 pm Full Time and Part Time
• Evenings: 2pm-10:30pm Full Time and Part Time
• Nights: 10pm-6:30am PRN
