Job summary

Allpro Homecare is seeking an Experienced CNA to join our team and provide quality non-medical homecare to our veteran population. This position emphasizes compassionate caregiving, flexibility, and reliability to meet client needs.

The ideal candidate holds an active Rhode Island CNA license, has 1 year of caregiver experience, and can work various shifts, including nights and weekends. We offer weekly pay, online training, and a supportive staff environment.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year caregiver experience in any setting.
• Able to work nights and/or weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass Rhode Island background check and immunization requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Assist with toileting, including use of bedpan or toilet.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using cane, walker, or wheelchair.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals with client assistance.
• Report unusual events to the administrator.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Complete other duties per the Client Service Plan.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists client with bathing, dressing and grooming
• Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, or toilet
• Assists client with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair
• Performs housekeeping duties
• Plan, prepare and serve meals, with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Report any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan

Requirements

• Current state license in good standing as an CNA
• 1 year caregiver experience in hospital, nursing home, other facility or homecare agency setting
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to pass a Rhode Island's National background check
• State-required Flu Shot (annually thereafter)
• State-required Hepatitis B Shot
• State-required Immunization Record (Flu, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, COVID)
• State-required Birth Certification upload
• Valid driver’s license and reliable daily transportation
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Adequate physical endurance
