The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).

Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan. Considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to know, and will be held accountable for, following

Formación

• CNA certification required or pending with State Board of Nursing or in process of certification (Endorsement).
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in long term care is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with basic health care needs and daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs.
• Assist residents with meals and hydration, and support psychosocial well-being.
• Help with transfers, positioning, and mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness and recreational programs.

Educación

CNA certification
