Job summary

AW Health Care in Missouri is seeking CNAs and caregivers for a PRN floater on-call role across our home-based services. Shifts range from 6 to 12 hours with a minimum 2-3 weekdays or 2+ weekends per month, and travel to our facilities in O'Fallon, Wentzville, St Peters, and Cottleville.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional caregiving, CNA, or home care experience.
• Able to perform personal care tasks with compassion and professionalism.
• Effective communication with clients and facility staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility and transfers for clients.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and bed linen changes.
• Meal preparation and assistance with eating.

PRN Schedule

We are currently seeking CNAs and Caregivers with availability for days and/or weekend shifts.

This is strictly a PRN Floater (as needed) on call position.

• Shifts range from 6 to 12 hours (7:00AM - 7:00PM)
• Required availability: minimum of 2-3 weekdays or 2 or more weekends a month
• Must be willing to travel to our facilities located in O'Fallon, Wentzville, St Peters, and Cottleville areas.

Consistent Schedule

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, every week and Every Other Saturday
• 6 hour shift, 3:15PM - 9:00PM
• position located in O'Fallon, MO

What You Will Do

Our caregivers provide essential daily support and companionship to our clients. Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Helping with mobility and transfers
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and bed linen changes
• Meal preparation and assistance with eating
• Medication reminders
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Works with multiple clients throughout our independent living facility per shift

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Auto insurance coverage
• Ability to work 2 weekend shifts per month
• Minimum 30 hours of availability per month
• At least 1 year of professional caregiving, CNA, or home care experience
• Must be willing to work with pets in the home
• Experience with dementia or Alzheimer’s care is a plus
• Excellent communication and ability to interact with facility staff
• Ability to prioritize needs of patient population based on current workload

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods
• Ability to climb stairs and reach overhead
• Comfortable working in homes with pets
• Ability to use proper safety equipment (gloves, masks, etc.)
• Ability to read and follow care instructions and safety guidelines
