Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver I to provide hands-on personal care in an onsite center/clinic environment. You will support daily activities, care plans, and safety for older adults.

Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, escorting, housekeeping, and documentation. Flexibility for home- and center-based services is required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience caring for elderly or frail individuals.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• CNA or HHA certification.
• Basic English communication for care documentation.
• Ability to work independently and in a busy care setting.
• Flexibility for home- and center-based services.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with equipment.

Provide escort assistance, housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry support as assigned.

Follow individualized care plans to support patient dignity, safety, and independence.

Observe, document, and promptly report changes in patient condition.

Use proper body mechanics, infection-control precautions, and appropriate protective equipment.

Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and care team members.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience caring for elderly or frail individuals.

Current BLS/CPR certification.

CNA or HHA certification

Basic conversational and written English for communication and care documentation.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a busy care environment.

Flexibility to support home-based and center-based services as assigned.

Ability to perform physical care duties, including occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance.

Must be at least 18 years old when working in a licensed adult day program.

Additional language skills may be required based on patient needs.

Experience in home care, adult day programs, or training other caregivers is a plus.
