Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification to be obtained within 45 days.
• Nurse Aide in good standing with the State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measure and document blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights, and other patient data; document in EMR.
• Perform purposeful rounding and promptly communicate observations to RN.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge processes; set up rooms and manage patient belongings.
• Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and perform point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Run errands; maintain stock for nursing area; clean equipment and work areas.
• Assist with patient positioning and transferring and support dietary needs.
• Maintain skin care and ensure use of TED hose and compression devices as prescribed.
• Adhere to infection prevention practices and PPE usage; age-appropriate patient care.
