Job summary

DCH Health System is hiring a certified nursing assistant to provide direct resident care according to each resident's plan of care. You will document activities on the daily living records and help residents with mobility and daily tasks in a safe, supportive environment.

The role requires Alabama CNA certification, English communication skills, and CPR within 150 days of employment. Training and performance standards are aligned with facility policies and patient safety expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified nursing assistant in good standing and registered with the State of Alabama.
• CPR certification within 150 days of employment is required.
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English; good communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care as directed, following the plan of care.
• Accurately document care on the resident's activities of daily living record.
• Apply safety practices and proper body mechanics during personal and supportive care, including ambulation, transfers, ROM and positioning.
• Perform duties in a cost-effective and compliant manner.
• Adhere to standards of practice for adults and geriatrics.
