Job summary

Monarch Communities (Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living) seeks a Caregiver (CNA/CHHA) to join as a part-time, non-exempt team member. The caregiver assists residents with daily living tasks per care plan, reports to the Health & Wellness Director, and supports personal care, dining, housekeeping, and activities.

This role requires at least 1 year of resident care, CNA or CHHA certification, and English proficiency. The position emphasizes compassion, safety, dignity, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. At least 1 year resident care experience required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aid
• Able to speak, read and write in English
• Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population, preferred dementia experience

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding as outlined in the care plan.
• Respect residents and teammates by following schedules and documenting attendance.
• Maintain safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of residents.
• Escort residents to meals and activities when needed.
• Ensure residents are clean, dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during shifts.
• Document services in ALIS EHR during shifts.
• Monitor and report changes in residents to supervisor.
• Use electronic documentation devices properly and securely.

Job Description

The Caregiver (CNA/CHHA) will report to Health & Wellness Director. The Caregiver is a Part-Time, non-exempt, hourly position.

Schedule:

Salary Range: $23.00 Hourly

Job Overview

Assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident’s care plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide resident care to residents that include bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in their care plan
• Respects the needs of team members and residents by adhering to schedule and documenting attendance properly.
• Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents
• Encourages and escorts (when needed) residents to meals and activities
• Ensures all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts
• Document all services provided in ALIS EHR for your assigned residents during your shift
• Monitors and reports any change of condition in a resident immediately to your supervisor
• Appropriately utilizes and keeps electronic documentation “devices” safe and secure within the community; efficiently documents care/services provided during the shift.
• Participates in and attends all in-service trainings as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Provides basic housekeeping and/or laundry services when needed
• May be asked to obtain weights and vitals of residents and document same per RN request
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor, RN, and/or ED

Physical Abilities

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
