Job summary

Monarch Communities in the United States is seeking a part-time Caregiver (CNA/CHHA) to support residents daily under the Health & Wellness Director. The role is non-exempt, hourly, with weekend shifts and a $23.00 hourly salary.

You will assist with personal care, meals, hygiene, and activities, document care in ALIS EHR, and ensure residents’ safety and dignity while following care plans and compliance rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year resident care experience.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA).
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• Experience with elderly population; dementia experience preferred.
• Lift or carry up to 50 lbs; physical activity required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding per care plan.
• Respects the needs of residents and team by adhering to schedule and documenting attendance.
• Maintain safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents.
• Escort residents to meals and activities as needed.
• Ensure residents are clean, dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during shifts.
• Document all services in ALIS EHR during shift.
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to supervisor.
• Safely use and protect electronic documentation devices.
• Participate in in-service trainings and comply with regulations.
• Provide basic housekeeping and laundry when needed.
• May obtain weights and vitals per RN request.

Job Description

The Caregiver (CNA/CHHA) will report to Health & Wellness Director. The Caregiver is a Part-Time, non-exempt, hourly position.

Schedule:

Weekends

Salary Range: $23.00 Hourly

Job Overview

Assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident’s care plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide resident care to residents that include bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in their care plan
• Respects the needs of team members and residents by adhering to schedule and documenting attendance properly.
• Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents
• Encourages and escorts (when needed) residents to meals and activities
• Ensures all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed, groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts
• Document all services provided in ALIS EHR for your assigned residents during your shift
• Monitors and reports any change of condition in a resident immediately to your supervisor
• Appropriately utilizes and keeps electronic documentation "devices" safe and secure within the community; efficiently documents care/services provided during the shift.
• Participates in and attends all in-service trainings as scheduled
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures
• Provides basic housekeeping and/or laundry services when needed
• May be asked to obtain weights and vitals of residents and document same per RN request
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor, RN, and/or ED

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED. At least 1 year resident care experience required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Certified Home Health Aid
• Able to speak, read and write in English
• Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population, preferred dementia experience
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
