Job summary

Avir at Kilgore in Kilgore, Texas is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and support a compassionate team in a long-term care setting.

You will provide direct personal care, monitor health, document changes, and collaborate with licensed nurses to ensure safety and dignity for residents; prior CNA certification and CPR/BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CNA certification in the state of practice (registry listing).
• High school diploma or GED preferred, not always required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification may be required by facility.
• Ability to pass background check and health screening (TB test, immunizations).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on personal care and support to residents (bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting).
• Assist with feeding and monitor nutritional/fluid intake.
• Reposition residents to prevent pressure injuries and assist with mobility exercises.
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to licensed nurses.
• Provide companionship and emotional support with dignity and respect.
