Job summary

Avir at Kilgore in Kilgore, Texas is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and support a compassionate team in a long-term care setting.

Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, hands-on personal care and support to residents, including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and toileting

• Monitor and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or mood to licensed nurses

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered CNA certification in the state of practice (state registry listing)

Preferred:

• 6+ months of experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a geriatric setting

• Experience with electronic documentation systems (e.g., PointClickCare, MatrixCare)

• Dementia/Alzheimer's care training or certification

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and be on feet for the entire shift

• Ability to lift/transfer residents (typically 25-50+ lbs, with assistance/equipment)

• Frequent pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive motion

• Ability to work in an environment with exposure to bodily fluids, illness, and infection

Work Environment:

• Long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting

• May require rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

• Close, hands-on contact with residents who may have physical or cognitive impairments
