This unique role combines direct patient care with emergency department registration duties, offering contribution across care and intake processes in a rural hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa CNA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide basic nursing care under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Support restorative care and promote patient comfort and independence.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment.
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
• Cross-train and assist with Emergency Department and Hospital patient registration.
• Management of EMS call process.
• Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, compassionate manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and colleagues.
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
