Job summary

Franklin General Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support both direct patient care and Emergency Department registration duties.

The role includes handling ADLs, basic nursing tasks, and accurate patient registration while delivering compassionate service on a full-time night shift.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa CNA certification required.
• Strong computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).

• Collect and enter patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, compassionate manner.

Position Summary

This unique position combines direct patient care with emergency department registration duties, providing the opportunity to make a difference in multiple ways. Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Support restorative care and promote patient comfort and independence
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff
• Cross-train and assist with Emergency Department and Hospital patient registration
• Management of EMS call process
• Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information accurately
• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional, compassionate manner
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and colleagues
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
