Job summary

MaineGeneral Health System is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Alzheimer's Care Center in Gardiner. This part-time position (32 hours/week) on the day shift offers meaningful, person-centered care to individuals with Alzheimer's and related dementias.

Qualifications

• Valid Maine CNA certification or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
• Genuine passion for caring for older adults and memory loss.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care within scope of practice and assists patients in emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
• Greets patients and visitors; answers and screens telephone calls; calls codes and pages as requested.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Keeps unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
