Job summary

Blakehurst Senior Living in Towson, MD is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants for part-time shifts in the Comprehensive Care Unit, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. Pay ranges from $19 to $24 per hour, based on experience.

You will assist residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities, document shifts, and communicate with the nursing team and families as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience as a GNA.

Responsibilities

• Complete and document shift assignments; report if unable to complete to nursing supervisor.

Blakehurst is recruiting for hospitality focused Geriatric Nursing Assistants to join our team.

Essential Job Duties

• Assist all residents with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
• Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
• Communicate to residents, families, Department Leaders, and the Director of Nursing when needed.
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One (1) year experience working as a GNA.
• Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.

All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we request vaccination status that he/she had testing done for measles, mumps, rubella, & varicella (MMRV) to ensure immunity.
