Job summary

Blakehurst is a Life Plan Community in Towson, MD, seeking Certified Nursing Assistants for part-time shifts. Shifts include 7:00am-3:30pm and 11:00pm-7:30am in various units, with some weekend rotations. Competitive pay range and a supportive team dedicated to seniors on a beautiful 40-acre campus.

Essential duties include personal care, mealtime assistance, shift completion, and timely communication with the nursing team. Provides DailyPay and other benefits in a friendly work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a GNA.
• Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.
• All new hires must pass preemployment screening as required by a licensed residential care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with high-quality personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height/weight checks).
• Assist with mealtime, cut food, encourage eating.
• Complete and document shift assignments; report if unable to complete.
• Communicate with residents, families, and Nursing leadership as needed.
• Provide planned activities and respond to call lights and emergencies promptly.

Shifts Available in Comprehensive Care Unit:

Part-Time Shift 7:00am-3:30pm, Every other Weekend

Shift Available in Assisted Living Unit:

Part-Time Shift 11:00pm-7:30am, Every other Tues, Fri, & Weekend

Shift Available in Memory Care Unit:

Part-Time (CNA-1/CMT) Shift 3:00pm-11:30am, Every other Weekend

(Evening/night shift differential included)

Blakehurstis recruiting for hospitality focused Geriatric Nursing Assistants to join our team.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist all residents with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
• Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
• Communicate to residents, families, Department Leaders, and the Director of Nursing when needed.
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One (1) year experience working as a GNA.
• Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.

All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we request vaccination status that he/she had testing done for measles, mumps, rubella, & varicella (MMRV) to ensure immunity.
