Job summary

JourneyCare Hospice is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care in a hospice setting in Vernon Hills, IL. The CNA will assist with activities of daily living, meals, and mobility while reporting changes to the Case Manager.

• Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record to deliver patient care.

Responsibilities

• Give personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed linens.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping.
• Assist in feeding the patient.
• Monitor patient skin to prevent tissue breakdown.
• Report patient condition changes to Case Manager.

Qualifications:

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide
• List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise
• Valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements

What You’ll Do:
