Job summary

CHI Health Lakeside in Omaha, NE is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support patient care under RN direction. You will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with transport, and actively participate in the patient's plan of care as part of our interdisciplinary team.

The role requires completion of a 75-hour state approved CNA course, NE CNA certification, and BLS/CPR. Excellent communication, reliability, and a commitment to dignified, high-quality care are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of RN/LPN, participate in the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Provide basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.
• Assist with patient transport and documentation of cares in the patient’s record.
• Contribute to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions.

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction. • Under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Contributes to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer.
• Plan – Contributes to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement – Provides basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.
• Evaluate – Contributes to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents cares provided in the healthcare consumer’s record.
