Job summary

CHI Health Plainview seeks a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support patient care under RN direction. You will provide compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient’s plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team.

This role requires completing a 75-hour state approved CNA course, holding CNA credentials (NE) upon hire, and CPR/BLS certification at hire.

Qualifications

• 75-hour state approved Nursing Assistant course (or equivalent) plus certification.
• Certified Nursing Assistant credential (NE) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Contributes to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer.
• Plan - Contributes to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement - Provides basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.
• Evaluate - Contributes to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents cares provided in the healthcare consumer's record.
