Job summary

Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Boonville, NY is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide hands-on care, promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life for residents. The role offers opportunities to work across all shifts in a supportive team within The McGuire Group network.

Responsibilities include ADLs, vital signs, and collaborating with the nursing staff to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Commitment to professionalism, safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, mobility).
• Safely transfer, transport, and reposition residents using appropriate equipment.
• Obtain and record vital signs and weights as directed.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and rights at all times.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and restorative nursing activities.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms and care areas.
• Follow infection control practices, safety procedures, and facility policies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality resident care.
• Perform additional duties within the CNA scope of practice as assigned.
